Overview
The Eventfinity Video On-demand (VOD) feature allows for the on-demand viewing of videos and video playlists. Video assets added to the VOD menu include the ability to set the video poster, video chapters, and closed captioning. Event managers can use the VOD feature to post previously streamed content and video playlists for related content.
Video Upload Technical Requirements
- Video Format: Please ensure your video is in the .MP4 format.
- Compression Type: Use the H.264 video codec for the best compatibility and performance.
- File Naming: You can name your video file using any standard letters or numbers allowed by Windows or Mac computers.
- Video Length: Your video should be no longer than 12 hours.
- Keyframes: To ensure smooth playback, keyframes should appear at least every 20 seconds or less in your video.
- Recording Quality: If using Meet (e.g., Google Meet) to record, ensure the video is in 720p resolution, saved as an MPEG-4 file with AAC audio, and compressed using the H.264 codec. Eventfinity can easily handle this format.
- Frame Rate (Smoothness): Your video’s frame rate should be between 5 and 120 frames per second (fps). If your video is slower than 5 fps or faster than 120 fps, it will be adjusted to 30 fps.
- Video Quality (Bitrate): For smooth streaming, your video’s bitrate should ideally be 8Mbps or lower. While higher bitrates are accepted, anything above 8Mbps may cause playback issues for some viewers. The bitrate should never exceed 16Mbps.
- Resolution: Videos with a resolution up to 1080p (1920x1080) are preferred. However, we accept videos up to 2K (2048x2048) resolution. Videos with a higher resolution than this will be considered non-standard.
