How to Create a VMeet Room
Intro
A VMeet Room is a virtual space that provides an integrated experience for video conferencing and screen sharing. These virtual spaces can be accessed from a laptop, desktop, or mobile device. There are several customization options available within the Eventfinity Dashboard that allow Admin users to tailor the experience to their needs.
These options include:
- Pub Access
- Capacity
- Dynamic Linking
- Green Room
- Dial-in
- Volume Meter
- Volume Slider
- Frame Rate Throttling
- Forcing a consistent lower resolution
- Custom CSS
This article will explore the process of creating a VMeet Room; including explaining the above options and providing examples of their use within a meeting room.
The VMeet Room Edit Page
1. To begin setup of a VMeet Room, navigate to Agenda > VMeet Rooms within the Dashboard menu
2. Select the "+New VMeet Room" button at the top right of the screen.
3. Enter the name of the VMeet Room and select the "Save" button. Note: The name of the room will not be displayed on the front end. This name is only for organizing and sorting purposes within Dashboard.
- Note: The "Allow Public Access" toggle will allow users who are not logged into the event to access the room using a link.
4. Users will be taken to the VMeet Room Edit Page. There are several settings to take note of on this page.
Initial Settings
This section will cover the first section of Settings on the VMeet Room Edit Page.
- Allow Public Access
- As stated before, this toggle will allow users who are not logged into the event to access the VMeet room using a link. When toggled on, the public link for the room can be edited as necessary.
- Set Capacity
- This setting toggle will allow for limiting the number of users that can enter a VMeet Room
