Chat Setup
Updated- 2/23/23
Intro
Chat creates chat rooms that are accessible throughout the event site. Multiple chat rooms can be created based on groups, and all chat rooms can be made visible throughout different areas and pages of the event site.
Notes:
- Chats are limited to 500 characters
- Chat transcripts are saved and can be downloaded from dashboard by default.
- Previously chats needed to be saved on dashboard which would then allow downloading of a chat log
- Previously “dynamic” groups could not be used to creating a chat room but this is now allowed
- Chat Rooms do not appear in vMeet rooms or external links
- Users will get a timeout if the platform believes the user is spamming
- Admin's are indicated with a Green Moderator Dot. Chat Admin Privileges include:
- Deleting Chats: Clicking on each chat displays a delete icon. Clicking the delete icon will prompt a confirmation message prior to deleting the chat it is associated with.
- Flag/Un-flag Attendees: Via the attendee list, an admin can Flag or Un-flag attendees on the list. Once flagged, an attendee can no longer chat, however they can still view the chat. Once un-flagged, the attendee may resume full access to the chat function.
