Magic Links

Magic links are a form of passwordless login. Instead of the user entering any login credentials to sign in, they are sent a URL with an embedded token via email (sometimes via SMS) which when clicked, logs the user in.


Eventfinity has the ability to create and provide Magic Links for attendees to easily and quickly access their event.


To set up your event to create Magic Links, on the event dashboard go to Attendees > Attendee Settings and toggle on “Enable Magic Login”.


The system created Magic Links can then be obtained in the attendee details page on dashboard and can be exported.

After the Magic Links are exported, the [subdomain] portion of the url must be replaced with the subdomain of the event site.

The Magic Link that is initially created for each attendee brings them to the Homepage of the event. This is the same path as a typical login from the login screen. 
If you want to automatically send the attendee to a different page within the event, you can do so by adding the route to the end of the Magic Link URL.


To route your attendee to a different page, add “&route=” plus the route.
