Adding Chapters to a Video

Video Assets can now be chaptered which allows Attendees to watch a video with chapters segmenting the video.

To add chapters to a VOD Video Asset: 

• Go to Streaming > VODs > Video Assets - and select or create a Video Asset to add chapters to. 
• On the right-side you will find a section to "Upload Chapters VTT File" as well as a Button to "Create Chapters VTT File" 
• Click on the "Create Chapters VTT File" button to open the Chapters WebVTT Generator.  Here, an Admin can quickly and easily add chapters and name each accordingly. 

Note- Chapters can overlap. For example, a 100 minute video can be chaptered into half.  But then the video as a whole can also be chaptered into smaller parts.

• For my example, I'd going to create 3 chapters within my 30 second video.  Each chapter will be 10 seconds.  Below is what that would look like.
• Now that chapters are defined, click the "Generate Web VTT" button which will create a VTT file and allow it to be saved for us to use in the following step.
• Once you have successfully saved your VTT file, go back to the video asset and use the "Upload Chapters VTT File" section.  Select the VTT file you just created (or the one you'd like to use) and then Upload the selected file.  (Be sure to click the "Upload Chapters VTT" button to complete this step.
• Note-  If you want to change the chapters created and uploaded, they can be removed and the process can be repeated.
